    Pre-Band

Ok!! Slappy met Levi, Levi met Slappy, Levi said hi! Slappy said sup!
Actualy the first meeting of the duo was back in December of 1984 at an Iron Maiden show, Levi as the sole stagediver dove right onto....you guessed it, Slappy.
    And the rest is history.

    Which brings us to 1995

    1996

Dec of 95' Slappy and Levi crossed paths in there different bands, Slappy was singing in C.U.N.T. and Levi was playing guitar and singing in BOWEL TRACTOR, December 11th at the "Tall Timbers" the STABBIN CABIN BOYS formed.
3 weeks later they had set up "shop" in a cabin deep in the North Cascades in Washington state, which was and is to be the place known as SEVERED HAND RANCH, the birthplace of S.C.B. in which they live and record, even to this day. Only now, the place is a tad bit bigger.

After a 2 week writing/practicing marathon, the 2 of them recorded what was to become "childrens is good eatins'".

The debut was released in April and now the boys had the task of building a band. Over many cans of "green death" the choices were made, Stan Nelson (guitars), Mike Gorman (bass) and Dan Noble (Drums). They spent the next few weeks bashing out the songs all the while the writing process was in full speed, S.C.B. hadn't even played a show yet and they had almost another full albums worth of material.
Their first show was up in Canada in the Frasier River Valley with 8 other bands, it was recorded (more on this recording later).Slappy made it a point to "fuck up" the other 8 bands. S.C.B. ruled Canada for 1 night.

    1997

They added on to Severed Hand Ranch and drank alot.

    1998

Stan, Mike and Dan quit, the reason? indifferences with Slappy.
Levi convinces Rainier Records to release the 1st show on disc, people take notice in "double alive", Slappy's rants and raves between songs either helped or didnt help, your choice. They make more additions to Severed Hand Ranch.

    1999

Oh Shit! we need a band again. Mike Gormans brother Deon is recruted on drums and Lane Edmiston from "Angry Bunnies" has filled the empty spot on bass.
They write, play and record "ass autopsy" and plan a 42 city tour to start in June 10th in Huntsville, Alabama.
June 16th after 6 shows Slappy decides he doesn't want to tour.......no singer, no tour. the "ASS TOUR" is canceled.
    Lane quits the band.

    2000

Somehow in the middle of the very cold North Cascades winter, Slappy shows interest in the band again and tells Levi that he has an entire album written in his fucked up head.

The "LUMBER PARTY" is what Slappy dreamed up and brought to the table.
Cubby replaces Lane in time to record the record.
The album is released and this time Levi plans and charts a small tour, 16 shows in 15 days. Cubby quits right after the tour because of indiferences with Slappy.
Decemeber, Levi brings to the table "My Favorite Dead People".

    2001

In Early Janurary Frankie Juan Garcia is hired to play bass, "My favorite dead people" is recorded and released in March.

The attention "dead people" brings to the band pisses Slappy off since Levi wrote the music and lyrics for the entire album.
A 27 city tour kicks off in Tokeland, WA. After 9 shows Slappy quits again. The tour is cancelled. Frankie and Deon quit the band.

Levi and Slappy spend the rest of the year extending Severed Hand Ranch.

    2002

They continue extending and remodeling Severed Hand Ranch throughout the year, they drink, build, drink and build.
The kitchen at Severed Hand Ranch is displayed in Martha Stewart Living.

    2003

Early in the year the boys feel the urge to "kill" again, they contact Stan Nelson, Mike Gorman and Dan Noble (who now make up the band GLOBAL MIND ROT) and get the band together to tour.

A 62 date tour is planned through out the U.S. and Canada. The tour is completed and is a success.
Stan, Mike and Dan quit to continue with GLOBAL MIND ROT.

Later in the year a bootleg of the 2nd show located in Hoquiam, WA. showed up and started making the rounds. Well the sound was so good and the night had a GREAT vibe "the boys" found who recorded it and "talked" the man into handing the recording over. And thus "LIVE AT GOOEYS DUCK" is released.

    2004

Phil Cochrane (Drums) and Dirk Englemeyer (bass) are recruited and they move into Severed Hand Ranch to practice and record.
The sessions last for days, weeks and months.
In August, their now fed up label "Rainier Records" are tired of waiting for the final product and physicly steal what finished songs they had and released the 5 songs as "the 2nd e.p."
No cover, no song titles at all. Rainier records just threw the 5 songs out there. S.C.B. had 9 more written and ready to record too.

S.C.B. refuses to tour. Phil and Dirk quit.

    2005

Levi and Slappy add on to Severed Hand Ranch throughout the year.

    2006

S.C.B. buys Rainier Records and all the rights to their recordings.

    2007

Robert Shook (bass) and Pat Stevens (drums) are recruited and move into Severed Hand Ranch.
They start things off simple and do a cover, "stealin" by Uriah Heep.
This felt and sounded so real, the mood was extremely high and they kept pounding out covers. They decided to take it a step further and record some covers.
All 4 members had a 60 minute meeting and chose the songs in which was to become "COVERED IN BLOOD".

They feel these songs are all great choices, either to give props to the greats, or to turn a crappy song (with potential) into a piledriver of a song.
They embark on a 39 city tour titled "Covering America In Blood". But in usual S.C.B. form, the tour is cancelled after 7 shows, why? you ask. Slappy didnt want to tour anymore, he never gave any reason at all.
When asked, Levi responded with a laugh and said, "well if Slappy don't wanna tour, then we don't tour".

Pat quits the band to join Held Under.

    2008

Diesel Von Uln is brought in from "Deep Penatrating Bitch" on drums.
They start writing and practicing what is to become their biggest and sickest album to date.
They practice for 6 months and record for 3 months (could it be the boys are growing up?). THE KNIFE IS THE LAW is released in September.
Robert quits 2 weeks before the tour starts to join Held Under. And Diesel quits at the same time (no reason givin').

Stan Nelson, Mike Gorman and Dan Nobel of GLOBAL MIND ROT just happen to be on a break so they are recruited once again to tour.
Also Deon Gorman is added to drumming duties, yes the boys have 2 drummers on the tour.
The tour is 53 cities in the U.S. and Canada. It is deemed the "Fuckin' Shit Up Across America" tour. The tour ends with a blowout in Davis, CA.

    2009

The 3rd show of the "Fuckin' Shit Up Across America" tour in Eastern Washington on a farmers "back 40" near Yakima, WA. was recorded.

HUNG FROM A NOOSE IN PALOOSE:(live in eastern, Wa.) was released in April.

    2010

The boys are hard at work throughout the summer recording what seems to be either a double album or 2 different ones.
They have about 25 songs in the works, half of them are war based, the other half are in usual S.C.B. manner (sick as fuck).
So far if its going to be 2 different releases the working titles are:
MAN OF WAR, with titles such as John Basilone, helmet for my pillow, Countin' dogtags and man of god, man of war.

NEXT TIME I CREATE THE UNIVERSE, also with titles such as Life preserver (not for you), Helecopter (shoulda been slowhand), Pivot in the stairway, and beeman wadcutter.

They're hoping to get the final mix done by the new year.
